    Anyone with a long-term snoring problem should make sure to see their doctor about allergy testing as well. Apnea can be caused by food allergies as well. Unfortunately, eliminating an offending food from your diet may not be easy and many, many people are simply unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary. My husband was in need of medical attention for his apnea before he was diagnosed with a wheat allergy. Eliminating all sources of wheat from his diet eliminated the snoring.
