Feng shui bedroom tips are an important part of your wealth creation strategy because you spend up to one-third of your life in your bedroom.. A good feng shui bedroom is a bedroom that promotes a harmonious flow of nourishing and sensual energy. A good feng shui bedroom is a bedroom that invites you, lures you in, excites and calms at the same time. A good feng shui bedroom is fun and pleasurable to be in, either you are there for a quick nap, a good night sleep or to make passionate love!
Here are 10 ways to utilize feng shui in your bedroom:
- Place the bed so that you have clear sight of the door. However, avoid placing the bed
directly opposite or against the same wall as the door. The idea is that you should be able to clearly see who is entering, but without being in the path of incoming energy. - Let go of the TV, computer or exercise equipment in your bedroom. The good feng shui energy in your bedroom is destroyed when these items are present in your bedroom.
- Don’t have a mirror or mirrored dressing table facing the bed, if you can see yourself in the mirror from a resting position. There isn’t a problem if the mirror is too high for this to occur. You can either change the position of the mirror or dressing table, or cover it with a cloth each night before going to bed.
- Be aware of the symbolism of artwork and photos. A bedroom needs particularly soothing and uplifting art and other images, so surround yourself with things that make you feel great. An important Feng Shui precept is to eliminate mirrors from your bedroom because their hard surfaces cause energy to bounce around, diminishing your ability to relax.
- Open the windows often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen . Be mindful of the quality of air in your bedroom. You cannot have good feng shui in your bedroom if the air you breathe in is stale and full of pollutants. Please note that plants in the bedroom are not good feng shui, unless your bedroom is fairly large and the plants are located far from the bed.
- Use plants to soften any sharp corners of your furniture that point directly towards your sleeping position.
- Keep the area under your bed as clear as possible. You might need to reorganize your closet to accommodate items usually stored under the bed.
- Place a low nightstand or low table to the right of the bed. The tiger is low to the ground and represents our readiness to spring into action when threatened.
- Avoid having a desk or workspace in your bedroom. This room should be a purely personal space, not one that combines work and rest. If you do have a desk in one corner, separate it from the rest of the room with screens.
- The foot of the bed should never face the doorway, the theory being that the influx of energy from the rest of the house through the doorway makes for a less than relaxing sleep.
